A Special Night with Ronan Tynan and the Sabres
Tynan, a tenor, who is also a former world record-holding Paralympics athlete, will team up with the pair of Sabres. Tynan has adopted the team over the years, ever since they approached him to sing the national anthem before a game. From that time, he has shown his allegiance to the team and to City of Good Neighbors. “The warmth of the city and fans--this is a great place,” said Tynan. “I link to a team, and am very proud of [my partnership with the Sabres]. Great people, and the fans are electric. I feel very at home here," Tynan said.
"A Night with Ronan Tynan and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra" is presented by First Niagara and begins at 7PM at Kleinhans Music Hall this Sunday. Tynan will also make his new solo Christmas CD available for sale--for which he said he spared no expense. Performed in his own classical style, two of the titles on the CD are written by Tynan.
Tipped off by the Sabres' head office that Miller and Stafford were musically inclined, Tynan invited the two to be a part of this special night. "They are both unbelievably musically talented, and two great guys on top of it," he said.
In a brief interview prior to traveling to Afghanistan to sing for the troops, Tynan made a statement as to why he was heading over there. “This country has been great to me, and it's important for people to realize the patriotism in this country. Singing songs and having people sign along is just amazing.”
“It will be a special evening for everyone. So, Buffalo, get your tickets early for next year,” he added.

Unfortunately, I just checked for tickets and I could only find 2 single seats in the front area, and 4 seats together in the balcony for $204 a piece. It sounds like a great concert, and I am happy for the BPO that it is just about sold out.
