Biography
30 yo bflo grl, holding my breath as i wait for this city (read: all those who live here) to get its shit together and make it great again...because it sure as shit isn't going to get that way by sitting around complaining and blogging about it all day. as you can see, i'm an opinionated, passionate, intelligent individual with one graduate degree under her belt and another somewhat in the works. i've lived here my whole life, and while i have travelled modestly to other cities like bflo and some cities that will always put bflo to shame in some ways, i will always remain one of bflo's most ardent boosters. we have so much here that makes it a great, satisfying place to live in, and there can be so much more...

Interests:
music -- listening to it, seeing it made, discovering it, experiencing it; architecture -- especially the old greats...seeing what man can create with stone and mortar and wood and nails is like religion to me; literature, film, the media arts -- which is just a way of saying that i love to read, i watch a lot of film (good, bad, and foreign), and i'm pretty crafty in almost every way (sewing is my favorite at the moment)
Favorite Movies:
amelie -- secretary -- the godfather
Favorite Music:
tool, black crowes, ani difranco are the big ones...the library is far too wide and diverse to list here...and listing a few would never do it any justice...let's just say it's eclectic and does not include country/top 40/rap/hip hop/...
Favorite Books:
the awakening -- kate chopin; women -- charles bukowski; the godfather -- mario puzo; henry and june -- anais nin; not so deep as a well -- dorothy parker

"Block clubs, by and large, are the bane of squatters and underclass occupants in general. We feared the block club, at least until our first meeting with them. We realized then that they were falling apart and needed a new volunteer moderator to s…
