Predict Bills - Dolphins Score, Win a Buffalo Rising Print
In this week's chapter of our quixotic Bills contest, you can win a free Buffalo Rising print by accurately predicting the score of Sunday's Bills - Dolphins game.  The Bills (1-2) head to Miami to face the 0-3 Dolphins.  Given the performance of the NY Jets (3-0) and the perennial power of the Patriots, this is nearly a must-win for both teams if either hopes to position themselves for the playoffs.

Kanye, Interrupted
Bad news for Kanye West and Lady Gaga fans.  The tour, Fame Kills, is canceled.  They were supposed to be coming to Buffalo, and many other cities.

There's no word as to why the show was cancelled, though some Hollywood websites are speculating that he will be undergoing rehab for his apparently Hennessey-fueled tirade when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance at the VMA's.

Refunds are being issued, so if you're one

Ben Folds and the BPO
Who wouldn't love Ben Folds?  Whether it's his lyrics or his interviews, Folds is one of those individuals who uses words to their maximum level, adroitly. His music is the happy platform on which his words rest, though Folds' piano-playing has sometimes been likened to a contact sport.
Acerbic and ironic, Folds, who is a classically trained percussionist, has performed with orchestras across the world, from Australia to Boston.  We'll have the pleasure of hosting him with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, at Kleinhans Music Hall on October 8th, at 8PM.

Saints Win, Bills Lose, Jauron Punts
The Bills weren't expected to beat the Saints.  They were 6 point underdogs to the high-powered 2-0 Saints.  But for the first half, it appeared the Bills could play with New Orleans. Or, more precisely, it appeared the Bills defense could keeps the Saints juggernaut in check long enough to give the Bills offense a chance to show up.  Sadly, the offense didn't take that opportunity and were shut out at home against the 15th ranked defense in the NFL.  Yes, the Bills scored on a fake field goal, but the offense couldn't

David Sedaris in Buffalo
Being an NPR junkie, I first discovered David Sedaris there, reading his "Santaland Diaries".  Next, I found his essays published in The New Yorker.  After that, I bought and digested every novel of his compiled writings that I could find.  I would include some of my underlined exerpts here, but happily, my essayist daughter has stolen every Sedaris book I had; it was required reading in my house.

Predict Bills - Saints Score, Win a Free Buffalo Rising Print
It's time for our weekly predict the Bills score contest.  The Bills, now 1-1 after beating Tampa Bay in Orchard Park, face the high-powered New Orleans Saints at Ralph Wilson Stadium tomorrow.

The Saints, if you haven't been paying attention, are the first team since 1968 to score at least 45 points in each of their first two games.  Drew Brees has 9 touchdown passes already as New Orleans beat up on the perennially hapless Detroit Lions in Week 1 and the Donovan McNabb-less Philadelphia
