Alone and trying to fend for herself and her remaining kitten was the fate that this beautiful 4.5 year old kitty faced when her owners left her behind in an Alden campground and went back home after the camping season.

Buffalo & Erie County Public Library Staff Review by Ann Kling:
Alex Patrick is a junior and a talented music major at the prestigious boarding school, Themis Academy. After attending a concert with friends, Alex wakes up in the bed of a school jock, Carter. Alex can't remember exactly what happened, but she knows that she lost her virginity to someone she doesn't even know and doesn't like, let alone love. She is filled with guilt and shame, but doesn't feel she can report what happened to the school's administration.

Who doesn't like a good game of bingo? OK, I'm sure that there are a few people out there who say that they don't like it... Bingo is just one of those games that kinda sucks you in before you know it. Especially if you're playing with a group of friends who tend to get overexcited. Even if you're just being stubborn, and won't admit that the game can be fun, you have to admit that the idea of playing a game of bingo at The Church (Ani DiFranco's Babeville - Asbury Hall) is rather enticing.
As part of Hallwalls' Friend-raising-through-Fun initiative, Bingo Bizarre gives the player

Though it may seem as though winter will drag on for a bit, Spring is on the horizon. With that in mind, the organizers of the 2011 Dyngus Day Parade are already seeking out participants and volunteers to help organize this year's celebration.
"The Dyngus Day Parade has become a uniquely Buffalo tradition," explained parade director Bernadette Pawlak. "2011 is a very special year as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of modern Dyngus Day in America. We welcome volunteers to assist in parade preparation as we expect that this will be the biggest Dyngus Day parade in history."

Let's face it, it's cold outside, really cold, snow blankets your car, you've been working all day and the last thing you want to do is leave your nice warm home and the easy, cozy call of your big-screen TV. But if you can muster the "umpf" and get yourself to the door, there are a couple of musical comedies playing that will shake the hibernation right out of you, and once you do it, you'll be so glad you roused yourself.

Yet another prospect for some mid-Winter musical comedy laughter, NUNSET BOULEVARD opened at O'Connell & Company, in residence at Gleasner Hall on ECC's North Campus.
Is it possible that a successful entertainment franchise can make one too many sequels? Anyone who has seen Rocky V, Jaws 3 or Jar Jar Binks knows the answer to that question.
On the other hand, some series seem immune to the rigors of time and appear to successfully re-invent themselves over and over, James Bond, for example, has had

Like it or not, there is a whole new generation of music lovers who can't get The Grateful Dead out of their heads. Former Deadheads are passing along their bootlegs to the newly enlightened who are finding out second hand all about the strange journey that so many fans took when Jerry Garcia was leading the band (and fans) on psychedelic road and mind trips. But the bootlegs can only go so far. When it comes to The Dead, Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) is one of the best ways to relive the days of The Dead, or to get a taste of what Jerry and friends were serving up.

Magic Elizabeth, Kassirer's first book for children, published in 1966, was republished many times and is now, for the first time, appearing in original serial form. The Doll Snatchers followed in 1969, and a collection of her more surreal stories, The Hidden Wife, was

As taught in most schools, history is a drag.
However, once we've memorized dates and battles of the Civil War it is fascinating to read letters between soldiers on the battlefield and their families at homes, north or south. The joy of delving into history is discovering the stories that personalize the men and women who lived past times and were party to remarkable events. This is why so many are compelled by the stories of passengers on The Titanic than the accounts of the company that commissioned the ship.
Annette Daniels-Taylor understands this. As a playwright

The Irish Classical Theatre Company's much anticipated production of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, Tennessee Williams' masterpiece of Southern dynastic succession, directed by Greg Natale, opened at the Andrews Theatre (Thursday, January 13).
Williams was the great poet among American playwrights. His language is truly beautiful, his phrases flowing and his dialogue can be hypnotic. He wastes no words, even when he is repetitious, (and he is, often). Each word has a deeper meaning, a coded context, a second or third layer guiding the actor and audience to the place where one sees
