Love browsing new shops, trying new restaurants. Like to support local business. Is that enough or should I keep rambling?

Buffalo remembered 9-11 this morning at the foot of our glorious waterfront. People came from all over the city to hear folks speak of the sorrow and hope that this memorable day continues to evoke. Buffalo's annual waterfront gathering is an inspirational sign... a ceremony of remembrance and peace.

Thanks to Tri Lam, Tai Truong and Manh Le, anytime I hear the word Papaya in any context I start to salivate like one of Pavlov's Dogs! Open since April 6th of this year, Papaya Asian Kitchen & Bar is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the premier restaurants in the city.

Just off Symphony Circle sits The Coda Restaurant, an establishment that blends quiet sophistication with a contemporary culinary flare that one might find while dining at one of Manhattan's hidden haunts. The term coda signifies the different finish of a musical composition, but it is the crescendo that owners Roo and Keren Buckley have been dreaming of for quite some time.

I've got a plan. If the seagull eyeing my fish-fry makes a move I'm going to push my girlfriend, Jessica, into its path and rush the meal to safety. We're on the patio behind the Hatch and the food, surprisingly, is that good.

Summer is not just a beautiful avenue in Buffalo, it is also an aisle at Latina Food Market. This new neighborhood market recently adopted street signs as its aisle markers. So the next time you're looking for ketchup, head down Delaware and hang a left at Hodge. If you hit Elmwood, you've gone too far. Lookin' for 'pop'? Well, it's on North Street. It's just a great Buffalo-centric idea that adds a personal touch of familiarity to the everyday task of shopping for groceries. Other street signs include Highland, Lexington, Bryant and West Ferry. Latina's is a nice addition to have in the area. The fact that they have taken the time to make the store so shopper friendly says a lot about the local owners and their commitment to the city.
