Pride Weekend

Last year for Pride Weekend, there were over 10,000 people in Bidwell Parkway - gay, lesbian, straight, transgendered, queer, bisexual. There were young, old, families, drag queens, circuit boys, leather daddies, preppy femmes, fetish girls, bois, bears, lawyers, pastors, baristas, homemakers, actors, designers, dykes, electricians, doctors, musicians, etc. There was a sense of freedom, a sense of family, a sense of belonging found in no other place during the year.

And this weekend is time to do it againotime for members and friends of the GLBT community to come together and celebrate.

Tonight is the Kick-Off Event in Allentown. Many local bars will feature entertainment and special events.
