“Night at the Museum”
“Night at the Museum,” which has led box office returns for the past two weekends, is an action-adventure-comedy that follows the adventures of a newly hired nighttime security guard at the American Museum of Natural History who discovers that the exhibits come to life each night. Amidst the resulting chaos, the only person who can be relied on for useful advice is a wax figure of President Theodore Roosevelt (played by Robin Williams), who helps to harness the bedlam, stop a nefarious plot, and save the museum.
Roosevelt actually began his term as the country’s 26th president right here in Buffalo and the home where that pivotal event took place is now open as to the public as the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site. You can support this local museum and enjoy T.R.’s latest adventures at the same time by attending a special showing of “Night at the Museum” at the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre on Friday, January 5, 2007.
Showtime is 6:45 pm and a portion of all advance tickets sales will directly benefit the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site.
As an added bonus, anyone who is not a already member of the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site will receive a FREE pass to visit the museum during the month of February with the purchase of tickets to this event.
