Want to become an architecture docent?
Would you like to introduce visitors and Buffalonians to the history and architecture of our fine city? Would you like to guide tours of downtown Buffalo? Buffalo Tours will offer daily weekday Downtown Buffalo tours next summer, in July and August.
To do this, we will need lots of enthusiastic docents. Buffalo Tours will offer a ten-week docent training and certification course beginning Saturday, January 20, 2007. The objective of the course is that the docent trainee will be able to deliver an architectural tour of downtown Buffalo with adequate knowledge of the architecture and history, basic skills as a guide, and not least of all, confidence. Classes will meet at the Market Arcade, 617 Main Street, on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. If you are interested in this course, please call 852-3300, or email info@landmark-niagara.org.
