New Years' Eve Options, Part 1

Once again, Buffalo is offering something for everyone to ring in the New Year. Whether you like it classic or wild, you'll find an event for you and yours. In fact, there's so much going on, you may not want to limit yourself to just one. Whether you want to watch a crowd or find somewhere you can actually strike up in conversation, it's out there. Just dress yourself up and be the party.
HOT:
Sound in Motion
New Year’s Eve Party with Thought, Pseudo Slang, Lazlo Hollyfeld, Hylofi. DJ intermissions by Cutler, Sick & Tone and installation by Jon Simon, the Fractal Project. This will definitely be a great time in the tradtiion of big-city events -- great live music with DJs and visuals, in a terrific atmosphere. Sure to be a hot ticket.
Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, 10pm: Tickets Available at: www.inticketing.com, New World Records, Terrapin Station, and Pearl Street Grill. Check out the myspace page for more information. Tickets about $19 online. 21+.
New Year’s Eve Party with Lance Diamond & the 24 Karat Diamond Band featuring vocalist Dolly Durante
The Tralf is back, and what better way to break in the New Year romantically than the dulcet tones of Buffalo's own Lance Diamond. Lance is not only a staple, but a veritable jukebox of classic favorites, with the solid backing of the 24 Karat Band, he'll keep you dancing all night long. If we can't have James Brown, Lance is the next best thing.
The Tralf, 622 Main Street, Buffalo, 14202, 10 PM, tickets available at www.ticketmaster.com or call 716.852.2860.
New Year’s Eve Transmission Dance Party
I've said before that Transmissions parties are the cure for the common shoegazer, in terms of getting a full crowd of people sweaty and dancing as if we all had a role in Breakin' 2 (they specialize in 80's classics). NYE will be no exception, providing a nice, long bar to chat with that special someone who knows all the words to your favorite Depeche Mode song.
