Last Days of Radio w/Que Sera and @ Mohawk, 12/28

Sure, I'm jealous of Jeff Schaller, and no, it isn't just that he's the drummer for so many awesome Buffalo bands (seven at last count, including Humphries and This Is It). No, it's his graphic design skills that really rock my box -- actually, everything about them screams pro, which is something to be said for band that's only been around since 2003.
LDOR took a year off recently, and with a slight restructuring, came back large with their 2006 live album In Audio Magic, recorded in one take at the revered local studio of the same name. The results are, as one would imagine after pulling off that feat, smooth with a solid groove, highlighting the bands' re-focus on songwriting and their new and perfectly balanced sound. The band is now composed of Jeff Schaller on drums, Alex Kraus on vocals and guitar, Steve Ryder on guitar, and Blaine Toney on bass, and is as solid a sound as any other band that's worked for a decade longer -- with at least Buffalo Music Award nominations to show I'm not the only one who thinks that. Well worth catching at any time, tonight they play at the Mohawk with Que Sera and the Design.
