Is this scene the top of the Chestnut Ridge sled hill? Always thought that would make a great painting.

I was going to ask the same question... that looks exactly like the swing between the lodge and the tobagan run at Chestnut Ridge. Now I want this painting.

Dorothy Markert December 7, 2006 12:13 PM

I'm sure it the top of the sledding hill at Chestnut Ridge. I was with the artist years ago when she did a quick water color of this site. Some one bought it from her on the spot. She has come a long, long way since those days.

Well, it sure ain't "I Wonder Park" in Canton (That's in Ballmer, hon).

Sandy Bartz December 7, 2006 04:10 PM

Yes it is! And a favorite spot of mine on a warm summer day with an ice cream cone or a paint brush.
Thanks Dorothy!
Hi Billy!

And the painting is for sale at the gallery, plus I did 3 other versions of it in different sizes. Check out the sculptures, too! The show is extended to Dec. 13th.
Happy Holidays!

Congrats to Sandy for coming so far with her work and conceptual ideas. Love, Peace, and Tractor Grease!

How does this scene look in the winter with the Buffalo snow and an ice cream in your hand. Beautiful picture. Maybe if I am good I will get a copy for birthday or Christmas 2007 for the living room.

I think that is a beautiful painting. What a talent you have.

I think that Sandy should come to Holderness NH to paint. We have some beautiful lakes, mountains, and other landscapes that are dying to come to life through her brushwork. We have a wonderful home gallery for her to display it in too! Love us in NH!
