Where Are The Fireworks?
Hey we want to come home for the 4th of July, but we can't find out when and where the fireworks are happening. Could you find out and list it on BRO? Thanks, Julie & Robbie in NYC.
Wow, that's a good question. Everyone I know always talks about different places that they like to go to watch the firewalks in the city. Personally, I enjoy hanging out on my roof and checking them out. But Julie and Robbie want to see the whole production. Who out there can give them the inside scoop? Where is the best place to go? Is there a big party planned? I remember that last year people were asking the same questions. Who is organizing the big show this year???

Celebration June 29th to July 4th in the United States is focused on Buffalos Riverside Park it is the 53rd year for Riverside. Fireworks extravaganzas top off the evenings of July 1st, 3rd and 4th.
Well, I can't add a fireworks event for the 4th, but on July 8th the Village of Kenmore will be ending it's week of "Kenmore Days" with a firework display http://www.vi.kenmore.ny.us/kenmore.html.
As a recient transplant from the City to Kenmore I was dubious to check out the celebration, but I found it it very cute - a throwback to a simpler time - and the fireworks well, my cronies and I all agreed that they were really magnificient, especially for a small venue. They enveloped you in a sensational display of light and sound!
Mang Park is located off of Elmwood Ave about a 1/2 mile North of the Regal Cinema/HomeDepot/Target/Tops "Big Box" enclave.
Target' closes at 9:30, stop out to Kenmore afterwards !
Friendship Festival at Riverside Park. The whole holiday weekend and the Fourth. Check out the web site and someone told me about a cool new Smoker Trailer that has Turkey Legs And Ribs if thats your thing.
Dunn Tire Park and the Bisons is a good place to be on July 3rd. A baseball game and an awesome fireworks show afterwards always draws a great crowd. The only negative is the entertainment leading up to the fireworks... what used to be a festive BPO concert has in recent years taken on a more political tone which comes off like a cross between an evangelical revival and a Goebbels tome. W, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al would certainly be nodding their approval.
But if you've never been, still worth checking out.
