On Friday January 26th and Saturday January 27th, Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center will present Resolutions 07, a media arts festival which features two evenings of experimental shorts and installations by local and international makers. Each evening a screening of short films and videos will take place at 8pm in the Hallwalls Cinema, located at 341 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, New York. Tickets are $7 general, $5 students/seniors, $4 members.

This year, Resolutions 07 highlights media art that is both experimental and resolutely unique. The two-evening program includes the films and videos (including animation and 3-D!), installations, performance and web-based work of 28 local and international artists: Becca Albee; Stefani Bardin; Alan Bigelow; Dan Boord and Luis Valdovino; Karen Brummund; Peter Byrne, Carole Woodlock and Ethan Borshansky; David Dinnel; Chris Ernst; Martha Gorzycki; Courtney Grim; Sabine Gruffat and Ben Russell; Justin Hellickson; Elizabeth Henry; Sarah Howell; Jill Johnston-Price; Andrew Kaufman; Michael Klein; Wago Kreider; Ditmar Krumrey; Rudy Lemcke; John Marriott; Joe Merrell; Sharon Mooney; and Ryan Tebo. Each evening will feature a one-hour program, followed by a discussion with the makers and many of the festival’s participants will be visiting Buffalo for the event. The Resolutions festival was established by Hallwalls to showcase recent work by emergent and established media artists from Buffalo and beyond. This year marks our third annual festival, and was culled from an open call for work that was juried by the Hallwalls Media Arts Committee.
