The eleventh issue of Buffalo Rising Magazine has hit the streets! Hope this spring/summer issue proves to be "one louder" than our last. ("Eleven" always make me think of "This Is Spinal Tap".)
Some of our feature articles include: Metro’s Free Zone / “Front Door Tour”, Buffalo Film Commission, Tri-Main Center, Tennis in Buffalo with Al Litto, Infringement Festival, Old Home Week, Women’s Business Center & W.I.N. As always, we cover city living, eating and shopping. For culturals and venues, check out Just Buffalo Literary Center, Soundlab, Shakespeare summer season, and more!
Pick up your FREE copy of Buffalo Rising Magazine at 150+ locations all over the city! (A partial list of locations that get replenished often are Elmwood Village Fabrics, Spot Coffee, Globe Market, Mobil Station (Lexington/Elmwood), Pavlov Togs.) Tomorrow we hit Hertel and University District.
Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel: Exactly.
Marty: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty: I don't know.
Nigel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel: [pause] These go to eleven.
