Recycling green carts a step in the right direction

The city finally read my mind and is instituting recycling "green carts" - a rolling, lidded bin comparable in size to whatever trash can you are paying for (except for the JUMBO can, you will only get a 64 gal green cart). As an avid, some say obsessive, recycler it is a serious pain dealing with over-heaped, lidless bins (because the stuff blows everywhere if I put them out the night before, and I get home from work at 10p and don't want to get up at 8a on trash day to put them out...so I make my roommate do it, hehe). Then there's the annoyance of your light, empty bin (which often doesn't make it back into your own yard *ahem*) blowing out into the street and getting run over or walked off with. I can't say I'm stoked they are only collecting every other week, although I do understand their logic financially. I think a lot of people already put out two or three bins/boxes/laundry baskets(because aforementioned disaster befell their real bin) of stuff every week and this may not be enough pickup for someone who gets a small trash can like me. It's too bad they don't offer a way to get a bigger size recycling bin than your trash can. I know you can put out extra in clear bags, per their site, but that seems wasteful as they don't recycle the bag (frankly they aren't easy to find either) and I'm nervous if it was light stuff it would blow off.
