i understand that people want to see the city rebound and become a world class city again but i feel like some people would want this to occur at the expense of the suburbs. Why not champion for the improvement of the entire region not just the city itself. If suburban sprawl had never occurred or hadn't been as widespread yes it would have been a good thing, but its a little too late to wish for its reversal. Investment in the region is good and should be welcomed regarless of it being in downtown, north buffalo or north tonawanda. Instead of just buffalo rising, how about the idea of wny rising

WNY Rising? Go ahead and start it up. I'll still be here though. As for your comment, I would agree along the lines of what Sean Ryan spoke of when the region competes against itself within. Any new investment from outside the region is good. But I would argue developing the urban core outweighs a new science building in the middle of nowhere ECC North.
Oh I definitely agree that there is investment that is better suited to occur in the city than in the burbs. I just think that there are people on this site that hate anything that isn't right in the city and dont fully appreicate or understand the importance of things that happen in the suburbs as well. Galleria mall, Niagara Falls Blvd and Transit road shopping and restaurants contribute to sprawl but also contribute to our tax base and provide jobs. You never see a story about anything new or being celebrated in those areas.
i am also agree with your view..
