I have one weekend in June to look for apartments. I'm from the west coast and have NO CLUE where to start. I've looked on craigslist and other realty places but I'm trying to put a plan in place so I can see many different places while im there for the weekend. I am going to gradschool at D'youville and I heard the area is kind of sketchy. What areas are closest but has rent that a college student can afford!? Any help is much appreciated!

  • It wouldn't hurt to get in touch with a realtor that does apartment rentals. They could line up several for you to look at in a short period of time. Gurney Becker Bourne, Greco are a couple I used for apartment hunting. Really depends what you're looking for, if you have transportation, etc.

  • Welcome to town. The area immediately around D'Youville is pretty nice but it can be sketchy in spots further away from campus.

You can get a nice place for not a whole lot of money in Allentown or around Kleinhans Music hall. Both of which are a short walk away from school.

  • Hi Kaydee! Welcome. Are you planning on driving to school, walking or taking public transportation? If you are going to be driving then North Buffalo/Hertel has some reasonably priced apartments and it is safe. The Elmwood Village area is a little more expensive but a bit closer. The suburb of Kenmore also has reasonable rents and is about a 15 minute drive to your school- and it is safe. A lot of apartments in Buffalo are duplexes- when I lived alone I always opted to rent on a second or third floor for added safety. Good luck!

  • I think that you can use help essay for finding necessary ways to solve all your problems.

  • Almost all students have this problem. They need to rent an apartment, but they have a little money. You can read college term papers with different deals for students.

  • This specific post is excellent, probably because of how well the subject was developed. I like some of the comments too though I would prefer we all stay on the subject in order add value to the subject.

  • horizon reality has a building right near your school on porter and several other buildings in the area. They are nothing amazing but decently priced and you usually only pay electric and cable so it's easy to budget. They have offices in California too not sure if you're in Cali but if so maybe you could meet up with them out there first. Also anywhere along elmwood or Delaware would be on bus routes that will only require 2 buses if you aren't bringing a car. If cost is really an option look on craigslist for people looking for roommates too if u don't mind that type of arrangement, might even work out better since it would give you a friend in the area right away.

  • Look around the Elmwood Village area...Walkable neighborhood and you can probably find something in the 600 to 800 range

  • Also look in Artvoice - rental section
