Best 'bad' chinese food in city

Vote 0 Votes
What is the best quick, greasy takeout Chinese place in the city? I've been searching but haven't found the right fit yet.

  • I'll cast my vote for China Star on the corner of Parkside and Hertel.

  • Taste Good at Delaware and Hertel seems to be a cut above most of the other Chinese takeout places in the city. I actually feel that there's something of a lack of good Chinese food (quick takeout or otherwise) in the city.

  • Why are the good Chinese restaurants in North Bflo? Also - Anyone seen my cat????

  • I think Wal-Mart pretty much has the wrap on the best chinese and its cheap.

  • China King in University Plaza by far. Huge portions, quick service, cheap deals.
Ling Lings on Elmwood in Kenmore is great too.

  • No mention of Little China on Delavan near Main?? By far the best 'fast food' Chinese food in the city. They don't have the cookie-cutter 11x17" chinese food menu, or the commodity frozen fried chicken to drop in the fryer for every dish. Their dishes are original, very tasty, and (the guy who I think is) the owner is hilarious.

  • Where Bailey splits into Bailey and Grover Cleveland (which becomes Millersport)...right at that 'Y' there's a pretty good Chinese place. Probably not so good I don't know it's name. On second thought, maybe that's Amherst?

  • Dragon Express on Main Street between Huron and Mohawk is my guilty pleasure.

  • I'm a sucker for the Dragon's lunch buffet....yuck.

On a serious note, Taste Good on Delaware and Hertel is where it's at.

  • I also vote for China Star, Hertel & Parkside!

  • I agree with Darien. China King in University Plaza has the best overall food and great portions. However, they don't deliver. Ling Ling's has a great and VERY inexpensive lunch menu for $3.80 for their fresh and delicious food. I worked downtown for years, and Dragon Express had unacceptable kitchen conditions and was afraid of their food. Their rear entrance on Washington was always open in the summer and the sanitation and odors coming from it were enough to keep us away.

  • Taste Good on Hertel for sure. The quality of ingredients is far above, and they will deliver pretty darn far.
