The 5th Annual WNY Environmental Youth Summit, March 4th and 5th, 2011, developed and organized by Sustainable Earth Solutions (SES).

This 2-day youth educational conference has proven to be among our region's best student/youth environmental conferences with research that demonstrates its value for teachers, youth organizers and students. The Environmental Youth Summit achieves the following outcomes: · Student teams (of 5 - 8 students each) create exciting action plans on an environmental topic of their choice, whilst also learning strategic planning, leadership skills, project management, and team building skills. - Creative thinking, problem solving, change leadership and advocacy are among the areas of instruction. · Students are trained in an atmosphere where they learn to build healthy relationships with other youth of differing racial and socio-economic backgrounds at the Summit, with coaching from a special delegation from the National Foundation for Just Communities WNY. · Each student team receives 6 weeks of professional support by the SES team during the implementation of its project AND $200 of Seed Money. The location for the conference is the Atrium at Rich Products' corporate headquarters in Buffalo, NY.
