Friday, December 10, 2010 Rochester's Water Street Music Hall Welcomes: Heroes for Ghosts w/ Going for the One Heroes for Ghosts, a Pink Floyd tribute, will perform Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, along with tracks from The Wall and Wish You Were Here. Featuring Mike Norton on lead vocals, the band includes John Covach (guitar), Jimmy Warlick (bass), Keith Welch (drums) and Pete Halliday (keyboards). Bill Tiberio will appear as guest saxophonist. Heroes for Ghosts is devoted to providing musically exciting and engaging performances of classic Pink Floyd music. The band's musical interpretations are stylistically faithful and accurate, while leaving room for individual members to add their own nuances, keeping the music vital and fresh. A Heroes for Ghost concert celebrates the power and virtuosity of Pink Floyd, while also revelling the dreamy psychedelia that makes this music so evocative and timeless. Going for the One, America's premier Yes tribute, will open the show, playing The Yes Album in its entirety, along with tracks from Fragile, and Close to the Edge. The Heroes for Ghosts/Going for the One double bill has quickly become legendary in Rochester; this combination of Yes and Pink Floyd music will make for a fired-up night of epic 70s music at Water Street that will have you saying "groovy" like you really mean it.
