THE COMIC FEMALE TRICKSTER: SEEDING CHANGE AND TRANSFORMATION
It's a long way from Baubo, Demeter's nurse servant of the Homeric Hymns, to the comediennes of the 50s and 60s. Kathy will thread these eras together via the archetype of the comic Female Trickster and explore the delightful subversion of these female comics and the role that humor plays in seeding personal and cultural change. The female trickster is alive and well and ready to disrupt - in the service of the psyche!
