Freudig Singers Rediscover Their Favorite Buried Treasures
Saturday March 13, 2010 7:30 PM
Event Details
The Freudig Singers will be unearthing, that is they will be singing, their "Buried Treasures" concert at Salem Lutheran Church on 13 March 2010. Each song has been fondly un-buried by a fabulous Freudig Singer and the singer will introduce the song before it is sung.
Under the watchful eye of Music Director Roland E. Martin, the treasures are pieces rescued from the archives of twenty-six years of joyful music-making and include offerings from J S Bach, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Randall Thompson, Paul Hindemith, Aaron Copland, Gwyneth Walker and local choral superstar Martin J Wimmer. Debi Overton, Choirmaster of Calvary Episcopal Church in Williamsville and Accompanist for the Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus, will be the Guest Conductor for this program.
Buried Treasures will be unearthed on 13 March at 7:30 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 10 McClellan Circle near McKinley Parkway in South Buffalo.
