An Assistant Professor at Buffalo State College, Candace Keegan grew up in Niagara Falls and now lives, works and paints in Buffalo. This series includes images of wind-up toys, other odd little playthings and a self-portrait. The general concept initially began with an installation in 2007 in Washington, DC entitled, "Objects of Desire". This series continues and has become an ongoing exploration of the symbolic nature of recognizable imagery and how every day objects can evoke many levels of meaning.
