Queen City Capitalist, Linsey Snyder, is launching a new cosmetic line in NYC aptly named Face Time Cosmetics. The new makeup line targets women who aspire to look put-together without looking like they spent hours in the powder room.

Snyder's idea, spawned from the concept of accessible beauty, has a timeless, classic look that is clean and fresh. She thinks that sometimes women are more uncomfortable buying makeup than they are other wardrobe accessories. “No one really wants to go to that other floor where the makeup is, because it’s intimidating,” Snyder said. “Beauty has become too difficult and complicated. There are too many fads we’re constantly trying to keep up with, so we’ve drifted away from classic beauty. Face Time is bringing trends back to reality with tailored looks that make women feel confident and appropriate. The customer tells us how they want to look, and we do the rest. Face Time continues a relationship with clients even after the sale has been made.”

Beauty In A Box is one package that includes an array of products--lip gloss, lip liner, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, face primer, blush and eye dust. The beauty tools also have clever names such as Upper Crust Dust, Eyelash Etiquette, Well-to-Hue, Privileged Pout and Sophisticake Eyeliner. Customers can find a step-by-step guide within their Beauty In A Box product to help them maintain the look they desire. The take home makeup kit is contained in a well-designed pack that is as easy to tote as it is to use. "We are completely overwhelmed with orders. Although, we have been approached by a few major chain stores already, my idea is to keep our product and company exclusive and “young” for as long as possible! We are in contact with a very popular, upscale boutique in Buffalo at the moment, and a few in New York City. Our Beauty In a Box concept is taking the industry to a new level, because it provides a tailored and a well thought-out look, all in one pretty package. It’s a one stop shop for the customer," Linsey said.

Linsey comes from a local family of entrepreneurs and believes that beginning her own business was inherent in her. "My father, Barry Snyder (Tuxedo Junction, Great Skate, Buffalo Greater Savings Bank), would come home every day after work and tell my brother and I stories about his day, and we would watch him through all of his successes and struggles. I learned that business is very difficult, but if you have a vision of what you want, mitigate your risks, and take the baby steps to get there, it can be extremely rewarding. I was always taught that there is nothing more valuable then being in control of your own life and being your own boss."

Linsey and crew will be attending the Brides' World bridal show in Buffalo this coming January. Her goal is to form and keep a relationship with all of her customers, so she will be in attendance to give free makeovers to anyone willing to sit for her.
