Things are getting a little Blue-er in Buffalo. That’s because Mayor Brown proclaimed that July 12th 2007 will be known as Labatt USA Day in the city of Buffalo. As business affiliates and community partners arrived to Labatt USA headquarters (Thursday), they were greeted by a deep-blue tinted Fountain Plaza (reflecting pool). Key Center management dyed the water in preparation for the ceremony that featured key speakers ranging from Labatt USA President, Glen Walter, to Gene Vukelic, President, Try-It Distributing Co. (see video).
The occasion was hosted at Labatt’s new digs in Key Center, North Tower. There, guests were treated to sample a variety of different beers including Kokanee Lager and Alexander Keith’s IPA. The move for Labatt USA to Buffalo (from Norwalk, Connecticut) appears to be a no-brainer. Buffalo accounts for approximately 23% of Labatt USA sales. And our proximity to the Canadian border was another obvious consideration.
