Kevin Gaughan believes the only way to fix Buffalo is through change and innovation. For the past 10 years heis spoken about ideas--traveled to talk to other civic leaders about them and coordinated forums for people to generate more. Ideas are his currency. He has a fluency, a facility with them that can make even the most jaded believe government (a smaller more efficient and responsive government) could help change things.

He knows that be dedicating himself to those ideas, as opposed to aligning himself with special interests or promising away the city patronage job by union concession, he can help give rise to New Buffalo.
