Mark Goldman, ever the art patron, is bringing a fun exhibit to his Allen Street Hardware Cafe, starting June 5 at 7PM. "Skinned" is the name of the exhibit that will feature artists from Divine Machine, Madd Tat2, Don's Nickel City, and Renaissance Tattoo.
If you've ever wondered what tattoo artists do to kill the off work hours, artwise, this show should be an eye-opener.
According to Hardware curator, Abagail, Marie Smith, "This show is outside of human body art, though that is what some artists stuck with because it's in their comfort zone. We'll be displaying works in oil and acrylics that show a different side of their artwork. It's not all related to tattooing."
A champion of local artists, Smith features successful local artists every month, changing it to "reflect the spirit of the city".
"I hope to bring in more progressive work," Smith said. "I have committed myself to showing artists that are currently working in our community to produce innovative and compelling statements."
