Shango (featured in Buffalo Rising Magazine-Spring 2005, and voted a "Best of Buffalo" restaurant by ArtVoice) is having a benefit for hurricane Katrinia victims on Sunday, September 11 from 7 n 10 p.m. The benefit features a New Orleans style buffet, beads, and music. All proceeds are going to New Orleans through the Red Cross. Wine is included with the meal. The all-inclusive cost is $45 per person. Tips are being waived by servers who are volunteering their time. A videotographer will be recording well wishes to Red Cross volunteers in New Orleans. Please call 837-2326 for reservations. Shango is located at 3260 Main Street, across from UB south campus. Parking is available in front of the restaurant or in public lot on Englewood, next to P. J. Bottoms.
