You are asked to donate blood all the time. Enough times that it can almost make you forget how important it is and that it can save a life. Maybe every now and then you donate, but only if it fits in with your otherwise busy schedule. Well, Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS) and Campieri’s Pizzeria of 888 Main Street have teamed up to try and get people to give back with a bit of an incentive.
UNYTS is one the leading procurement organizations in the United States. They also do a lot of other work in the area, including blood drives. They will be at Campieri’s Pizzeria from 11 AM till 3 PM. It will feature their Donate Life Express and people will get a free pasta lunch and a soft drink for anyone who donates.
It is a great way to spend your lunch hour giving back to the community at large and getting a free lunch to top it off. Dan Campieri, owner of the restaurant says, “I started seeing the billboards around and I wanted to do something. I knew how important their cause is and I just wanted to help.”
So if you have the time this upcoming lunch hour, head down to Campieri’s Pizzeria at 888 Main Street and donate blood and get a free lunch for your troubles.
