Double-Doubles for Liberty Building

Double-Doubles for Liberty Building

Tim Hortons is taking downtown’s busiest corner. The prolific coffee purveyor is leasing the former Main Street Bistro space in the Liberty Building at Main and Court streets. Tim Hortons currently has two downtown locations at 50 Fountain Plaza and HSBC Center. Each opened within the past year.

American Capital Real Estate was hired in December 2006 by Main Liberty Group to assist with finding additional office and retail tenants for the Main Place and Liberty complex. The high profile buildings have been struggling with substantial vacancies in recent years. With aggressive lease rates, the firm has been making progress refilling the properties.

The Tim Hortons chain was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario and has grown into the largest quick service restaurant chain in Canada specializing coffee, baked goods and homestyle lunches. Tim Hortons locations can presently be found in Michigan, Maine, Connecticut, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York. Currently, there are more than 2,733 stores across Canada, and over 345 locations in the United States.
