CEPA Gallery's Biennial Auction

Starting April 5, Buffalonians can head to the CEPA Gallery to see the photographs being exhibited for their 9th Biennial Photography Art Auction during their Auction Preview Exhibition. This exhibition is free and open to the public and provides visitors with the opportunity to see the artwork before it is auctioned off on April 26.

So far, over 75 artists have made donations to the CEPA Gallery for this event. Almost half of the donors are from Buffalo or nearby areas and the remaining half have spent significant portions of their artistic careers in the Buffalo area. Some have held exhibitions during the last 34 years that CEPA Gallery has existed while other just feel that CEPA Gallery is an important institution worth donating to.

An audience of over 200 members is expected at the auction, which will be held at the Market Arcade in the Theatre District. The artwork can be previewed starting April 5 until the auction date at CEPA’s Flux and Passageway Galleries, or online at www.cepagallery.org. Registration and absentee bidding is also available through CEPA’s website.

Admission to the auction is $50, but that includes an auction paddle, catalogue, hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. The reception begins at 5pm and the live auction will begin promptly at 7pm.
