Cabaret Signals With A New Sign

Cabaret Signals With A New Sign

Cabaret, located at 484 Pearl Street, recently added a brand new marquis theatre-style sign to its already beautiful facade. The restaurant, which opened in spring of '06 is owned and operated by Nadine and John Lattanzio. I spoke with John about the sign and he told me that it was built by Mike Yost of Yost Signs in West Seneca. "We looked at old photos of Main Street from the 40's," he said. "We were particularly interested in the Century Theater and Shea's Performing Arts Center. We wanted to blend in with the Theater District while attracting visitors at the same time. People have told us that they can see the sign all the way from The Hyatt at night."

It's great to see a business like Cabaret making an effort to bring back a classic appearance by adding a design element that was once very popular downtown. It's hard to imagine that Shea's went for so long without its iconic sign... obviously that addition has inspired others in the neighborhood to do the same.
