As we passed JP Bullfeathers yesterday we couldn't help but notice two more of the October Storm sculptures being added to the streetscape. Restaurant owner, Don Leone was busy afixing a giant bear carving to a cement pedastal that had recently been added. He told me that it was going to be the permanent home of the work of art.
Then it was co-owner Lori Leone who showed me the carving of Therese Bellissimo, famed originator of the chicken wing recipe. That scupture had been funded by Buffalo Sabre's golie Ryan Miller. When asked where he wanted to the statue to be placed, he responded that the piece should go up on Elmwood Avenue near where he lived.
If you notice, JP Bullfeathers also has a great new sign above the front windows. The lettering will be lit up sometime this coming week, while a few more 'surprise' additions will be making their way over to this establishment.
