Nice post Frenchy! Gettiing that commercial made (your closing) would be a great thing for Buffalo o if we must be known only for wings and snow, at least this would add an international/education angle!

I went to the Festival for the first time this year....oh the carnage. Chicken bones strewn everywhere! And someone vomited right next to me after engaging in an impromptu atomoic wing eat off contest.

Being able to taste test 15 different wing preparations was a true adventure, and people were super friendly.... but I didn't expect it to be so gross! Maybe more trash cans next time?

Despite this year's less then perfect weather, people still seemed to attend and support this event in substantial numbers. This is simply a GREAT event for Buffalo.

Yeah the weather definately played a role in the layout and feel of this event. I have gone every years since it started and would say that if you enjoyed it this year you would love it when it is bigger. The rain forced everything to be soo cramped in. Normally all of the out field is open so you get some wings find a piece of grass sit down, enjoy, critique and then go back for more somewhere else. This year there was no sitting down in the field so there was a lot of elbow rubbing.

Loved the Chicken Wing Flavored Sausage from Valint's Meats..WOW! All the taste with very little fat and grease. Perfect for appetizers, or would add a new twist on the french cassoulet. Added Bonus: It's nice to have a friend like "Frenchy" to hang out with. Always an adventure.. Plus: Our fair city is perpetually full of surprises and so full of life and yummy food!
