TypeCon was amazing!
Great series of photos in the flickr link- it is interesting to see what is photographed in Buffalo by a tourist- particularly this group so involved with fonts and signage. Kudos to Richard, Carima and others who busted their butts to get TypeCon to Buffalo.
While I am not in the specific industry, I attended several of the events and was totally blown away. Very professional organized and executed. World class presentations. Congratulations to the entire WNYBAC Western New York Book Arts Collaborative for hosting an exceptional event.
Other great pics here that I came across from a food photo sharing web site......

TypeCon located online at http://typecon.com/ was written up in the Buffalo News, Buffalo Spree, Artvoice & Buffalo Rising in the weeks before it happened. Detailed reviews of some of the topics are found here: http://www.underconsideration.com/speakup/archives/005052.html
Rich and Carima are amazing and deserve all the support we can give them. thank you p22!!!
TypeCon and events like it are changing Buffalo and showing how creativity and economic development can be one and the same. Buffalo Rising should do a series on Buffalo's creative businesses....
There were lots of folks in town from the Hamilton/Burlington/Toronto area for TypeCon - are there ways to stay connected? Exchange programs :)? I hear Hamilton has lots in common with us.
sounds like it was a lot of fun, i also enjoyed the images that the TypeCon people took.
"Now, when will we see the end of Brush Script as Buffalo's favorite typeface?"
There's a great quote a friend of mine gave to me back in the day which basically said "If you set the word cocksucking in Bodoni, it's fashion. If you set it in Brush Script it's pornography."
