    Wow!

What a bunch of freakin whiners! Sounds like this ChcocLogo guy spent some money to put a business downtown, and I mean downtown, by the looks of it, and you're going to begrudge them a little good press.

Honestly Buffalo will never rise, unless and until we stop with all of these begrudingly negative comments about our own neighbors.

You can go to a Starbucks you freakin bunch of efete snobs, but you can only go to one Choco-Logo.

Way to go Buffalo. All of that negativity is sure to make Buffalo rise again.

Choco-Logo did not pay to have this article published. The reporter initiated the contact as result of an e-mail she received advertising the sale. E-mails are sent regularly to Choco-Logo customers who request to be on our subscription list.

Is it just me, or does Choco-Logo get an inordinate amount of attention on this blog? Are there no other chocolate or confectionery shops in the WNY area? Or is this a paid sponsorship type thing for coverage?

I think tzone means that the article seems a bit like self promotion run amok. There's a difference between "bringing attention" and "blatant product pushing." That paragraph on nutcorn could have been lifted directly from a Buffalo News Sunday circular. 50% off nutcorn isn't quite the same as an Avant building construction update. I love articles on bike racks, new developments, restaurants, and political challenges. But a "story" on a chocolate sale? Count me in the confused category.

I think I speak for others, tzone included, that we don't want to see BR becoming the AM Buffalo of the blogosphere. Don't go all Linda Pellegrino on us.

In the interest of bringing attention to the public, sometimes the entity (artist, not-for-profit, private business) with the best marketing strategies wins more coverage. (I know there's a joke somewhere in there about sniffing for truffles.) It's like an editorial tap on the shoulder.

Keep us apprised, and stay out front. We wish more businesses and individuals would take advantage, though it does grow daily.

I had a blast shopping there at lunchtime yesterday. I was going to announce that I bought the place out, so don't bother going - ha ha ha. There are many bargains to be had - I highly recommend that you do not miss this sale. You'll regret it. I fell in love with my first Johnnie Ryan soda (cherry pop!). It reminded me of Aurora Bottling Works' wares.
