Isn't there a place called Document Advantage right next door?

It will be nice either way. The new courthouse / gate condo's will bring a little bit of 'new' to Buffalo.

Looking back at the slideshow, I almost forgot how dumpy the area used to look. What an improvement. By the way, where are all the business signs? I can't tell if it their are any businesses inside or just decorated windows from the pics.

I know the guy that owns Document Advantage- Rory. He used to live out here in San Francisco. He was advertised on this site when it opened. I hope it doesn't cut into his business. I know his business is a very high end printing shop. It's great to have business liek this opening on Main and I'm all for it, but is this like Subway and Quiznos opening up right next to each other?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this put two business/legal copy centers on the same block? Folks in the know, how high is the demand for greater copy capacity?

Prefect! This block is really coming along, Chrus J has vision and will be making good rents off this real soon.

I always had high hopes for this particular block. It is downtown, but yet its own little neighborhod.

Now if we could get more investment like this on the rest of Main St.

    LivingForge- you'd be surprised.

My sister in law works for Avalon in Syracuse, they do a lot of work for law firms, hospitals etc. Much of the work (especially for the law firms) is duplication of records and case files. This can amount to several bankers boxes of documents depending on what it is. They show up at your office, take the documents, make the copies then bring everything back, for some projects I believe the also do on site stuff.

ExWNYer, that's what I'm thinking, they're going to be right next door to each other.

    "Does this qualify?"

Its still a little old-timey but its fine. The window framing should be as thin and unpronounced as possible. It seems like glass from floor to ceiling would be the goal so maybe that strip of brick along the bottom of the facade could go away. If there must be thick aluminum window framing maybe it could be coated black or brown.

Print shops are always a good thing and competing print shops are even better.

Quality yes, but Modern, no. Who'll take that big leap? Who's gonna propel Buffalo into this century?

Returning to Buffalo from the west coast, I am so happy to see this city turning around. That block was so run down when I left and seeing it come back to life is wonderful!

'Big New' is great, but 'Little New' is even more satisfying becuse it integrates into the street elevation as a refreshing texture break. "BigNew" often seems too sculptural and self-involved to bring the crisp lines of modern to the human scale. I'd like to see more of both in Buffalo and the Gates and courthouse projects will hopefully inspire more ideas at the little guy level.
