I've seen the one in the middle of the intersection of Allen and Franklin.

So what does it mean, other than a Greek reference? Maybe a band?

I don't actually dislike these, they are certainly unique and interesting to look at when walking around. Also these are not on private property and not very imposing. In the end they will get chopped up just like the rest of the road. Almost like the spray painted baby outlines that lined Allen for a couple years reflecting back on WWII and the number of people who died under the bombs. I like coming across little things like this that make you keenly aware of where you are and force someone to ask questions. Almost reminds me of STEEL's post about the sidewalk companies that used to imprint metal plaques into their work.

Frustrated art students who play in the street eventually get run over. Put that on a tile, Viral Tagger Boy.

Ah, remember now, one artist that started this way...Keith Haring.

You applaud this, then applaud State sponsored surveillance cameras? In back to back posts? Wow!

"At least this form of 'tagging' demands skill, unlike the standard spray can tags that require zero brain cells."-

How does knowing how to apply tar onto the edges of a linoleum tile require more skill than painting a piece. Granted, many of Buffalo's taggers are really suburban wannabe toys, but there is some nice work out there if you look around. Especially if you ever venture east of Main Street. The tile above is kinda sloppy and lazy looking in my opinion. Just the same old rehashed punk rock/art school sensibility. Yawn.

No damn "Hipster" should ever be allowed to deface our beautiful asphalt roads. When this public menace is caught, and he will be caught, no severe punishment for these sickening crimes will be spared. His MySpace page and You Tube submissions will be taken down and zine publishers will pe placed on notice to not publish any "documentation" of this dreck on threat of substantial litigation and expulsion from the Audit Bureau of Circulation. Yes, it's that serious.

Apparently all anyone wants to do in Buffalo is spend, spend, spend (their inheritance? city employee paycheck?)

Where do the graduating kids get to work if they want a career?

PS - Sorry about the "spammy" nature of prior post. It didn't LOOK that long or crazy-sounding when I first pasted it into the text box ;^) Amazing what lack-of-carriage-returns will turn your text into.. a rambling rant! whoo hoo. Whoops.

I saw the one on Delaware and Allen--very nicely done! This is the kind of stuff that makes me happy to live in Allentown--however long it stays, it's interesting.

If you search the 'net you'll see more about this art. They were installed downtown last summer. They are interesting and look someone spent some time on them. It appears that they are installed over night , since the one at Franklin and Eagle appeared one morning. They didn't all survive the winter, or the traffic.

What we don't realize is that these messages are subliminal. We continue to feed into seeing wrong messages. What about positive words, no wonder we continue to feel beat down in this city. Satanic elements are at work. Has anyone seen the would ATAK HERT any where across the city? Say it and feel the message. Who isw putting these words up and around our city.

Let's push to eliminate bleakness, our city is already dying, People wake up.

Atak and Hert are simply graffiti vandals helping to destroy the city with their paint.
