great news glad to see the business growing
It's freaky seeing a cricketeer from Bangladesh wearing a New Era cap. Baseball will take over the Earth beginning with the cap. For now, though, the rest of the world is all hat and no game.
New Era is great for this area. I have worked with them a few times and the are always willing to help out in the community. We need to build off of them.
New Era is a cool company. But hasn't this been said, oh, maybe 568 times or so on this website? It reminds me of that scene in Tommy Boy where he is at dinner talking about what he does when he gets excited about getting close to a sale: he uses his dinner roll as a stand-in for his sale, and he proceeds to get so obsessively attentive and preening over the thing he literally rips his beloved sale (roll) to pieces out of excitement and anticipation. I sense some of that obsessive energy in Buffalo. [Insert story about Basher Issa here] Time to spotlight some other companies, people. Find an exciting young entrepreneur to highlight. Or better yet, have a business spotlight contest to talk up some great growing businesses in Buffalo. The only rules are: their main customer base/market must be national in scope. That would mean no neighborhood or regional establishments! (which would probably cut out most of what Buffalonians love to obsess about - local art, entertainment, restaurants, salons, bars, clothing, retail and similar)
Yippeeeeeeeee. they need a bigger retail store here in Buffalo as their headquarters, goodness. Every time I enter to get a hat, it's either packed, or I cant find the hat I want. They should expand a bit and put some of their "new" hats on the expanded shelve space. And with a growing company with their HQ here, shouldn't this store have the most selection and be the biggest? Like Macy's in NYC. Yea... And there is NO reason why that place shouldn't get TONS of buisness if they expand more, in fact it most likely will give them more revenue and buisness. So, that's my story.
AND that would actually give us something to talk about on Buffalo Rising, instead of going on and on about they same company over and over, at least if they expanded I could see the point, but this is just too repetitive, like the NFL CBS theme song. (which BTW, never gets old.) And thanks completelyoverplayed for your well thought out comment, it got me thinking too! =]
