Credit also has to be given to the Lexies Kitchen staff- (even before Joe George), the food is well prepared and tasty. The Meal Solutions are a delicous and quick alternative to cooking at home.

The Co-Op salad bar makes the greatest lunch especially on a Monday after a weekend of "rockin out." You can load your plate with a smörgåsbord of healthy tasty veggies from the cornucopia of Mother Nature's bounty!

Maybe their crab cakes have changed....I got some last fall, and they were these big, round, overly sweet, over breaded things that I couldn't finish. I hope they are better now!

On the other hand....they have the absolute best chocolate fudge brownies in the world....I'm addicted to those! Their veggie pate, found in the refridgerated case, is very good as well, but you have to get there early...it sells out quickly!

I don't do my regular shopping at the co op.....but.

The sushi is very good and inexpensive. The other day they had some of the best crab cakes that i've had recently. The buffet is very good for a quick take home meal.

Please keep in mind, dear readers, that Chef Joe George has recently taken over and you will begin to see changes to the offerings available at both the hot bar and the prepared food case because of that.

InformedOne, did you just quote the above post directly from a display ad in the phone directory? And please, no umlauts here.

I frequent the co-op to peruse their delicacies. And this fabulous news that le grande chef de Buffalo will be overseeing things makes my pulse beat just a bit fatter. I shall no longer be so loquacious with the friendly staff and will rather grab my selections and head back to my apartment to consume my edibles.

Its hard to find a bad item at the Co-ops deli. Ive been to several Coops and Whole Foods Markets around the country and the delis do not compare. The staff is top notch, friendly and always ready to help out or answer any questions. Im a junkie, what can I say!
