I'll never forget all the fun I had in Ottawa years ago in the winter. Their Rideau Canal is billed as the longest ice skating in the world. Situated downtown, it's the center of their world famous winter festival – food, beer , skating, major ice sculpting. For all the people who complain about Buffalo's weather - PISS OFF! Having lived in Montreal and Toronto, one simply has to ask, 'Why have these cities succeeded in such a cold environment?" Ans: it's not the weather stupid. Let’s keep some green space down at the Erie Basin and start having our own winter festivals and let’s start renting skates there. Of coarse, lets get some jobs first and fill all these new condos :).
