I've been going there for years, they have three things that I look for in a restaurant, Good, Reasonably Priced and Quick. Try the jumbo it is the best as well as the blackened fish.

love the food here. the beer selection is stellar. aren't those elbow noodles? ;)
dpbflo,
Though the effort was exhaustive, stock photos of slightly pink mac and cheese made with rigatoni just aren't out there! ;)
Aged cheddar, parmesan, danish fontina, organic unsalted butter, organic whole milk, panko and a box of De Ceccho. Follow up with a trip to the cardiologist.
Although Colter Bay's Mac and Cheese is pretty darn good. I might have to say that Fat Bob's has the best in the area. I frequent both places and it goes back and forth, but I would ultimately go with Fat Bob's as my fav. What do you think?
fat bob's mac and cheese sucks...it was great maybe 5 or so years ago, but like many things in buffalo (both good and bad), it has been living on its reputation for way too long now...
ditto mbhxam! not only has fat bob's quality severly declined, but the guy that owns it is a scum-lord. as far as colter, i used to like that place; i hope they can fix their bathrooms and the sub-par food. for a good quality break or lunch amy's place is always the go-to!!
OMG, the mac & cheese might be sold out, let me clue you in, it's pasta, milk/cream, butter, and surprise-cheese.
Yes, simcoe, not a difficult concept, I know, but not always easy to execute well. I tried to make some last week and the result was about a cup of oil pooled on the top. I have no idea where I went wrong. Too much cheddar? Maybe I should have used low-fat cheddar? Too much gruyere? Anyway, I'll try it again, just not soon.
simcoe - until u try this version, please don't front
go enjoy your blue box of spirals or whatever gets you off
For the best mac-n-cheese, try O'Connell's American Bistro. Otherwise we're just arguing about who has the 2nd best in town.
Black people for some unknown reason have in my experience make the best Mac & Cheese. When working at Baltimore Seafood many times I tried to duplicate what Ms. Brown perfected only to come short, the Holt family seems to have this knack also, Dale Holt claims it's in the genes.
Talking about Lobster Mac Cheese, Lenny's is good I'm sure, Kevin can lay claim if he wants too, but if it has to with Lobster, give me a break. Only the extremely fortunate can afford to duplicate what a dedicated Lobster Co. can do. Trust Me.
