The atmosphere at Europa is as warming as the eastern european comfort fare.

As I mentioned, the business is legally called Europa Bistro and my choice to use that version of the name in this article was based on a conversation that I had with the owner in person.

    11111inBlo,

I asked Mike this question myself. I've heard it pronounced both ways with regularity. From what I gather, Mike intended the restaurant to be named Bistro Europa, but a lawyer made an error with some paperwork calling it Europa Bistro. Hence Europa Bistro is the version that is found in the phone book and pretty much everywhere else, but Mike, a pretty low-key guy to begin with, is comfortable with both. Either way, the food's remarkable.

So wait, is the name of the place Bistro Europa or Europa Bistro? Their sign seems to indicate the former, but this article indicates the latter.

    Christa,

Beautiful article on Bistro Europa. This place is special, I love everything about this little jewel. The food is wonderful and the menu is refreshingly different. Warm, comfortable, inviting, romantic and rich with color, and the best music. Fine wine and beer list and Michael (another one... it is getting hard to keep track of all the Michaels') is a really nice guy.

You are right, this place is consistent, always superb. The Cassoulet is amazing, and the Pork Rillettes is orgasmic!

Thank you Christa for doing Bistro Europa justice in your beautiful article. Your words were just glowing on the page.

If Bistro Europa is what the owner is calling it, it seems like that's what everyone else should try to do. Frankly, the phonebook screws up a lot (not to dish on the hard-working folks there). And if you visit the restaurant's Web site (http://europabuffalo.com/), it's called Bistro Europa there, too. P.S.—The food there is quite delicious and frequently surprises the palate.

Europa Bistro has some of the best food I have tried in a long time. Comfort foor done just how your Polish or German grandmother used to make. My fiancee and I finally made it here last night and had a wonderful meal. The beer selections were great, I had a dark Spaten. Also had the rouladen and the pork roulettes and potato pancakes. We were so full after all of that and I couldnt waste any so I took home leftovers - something I almost never do.

Can't wait to go back for more and sit at the bar on a cold night, dreaming of being in Prague.

Nice job with the restaurant. If you havent been, please go. But from the looks of it, the place is not a secret. On a Thursday the joint was full and tables turned over twice while we were there.
