I agree. The food is hit or miss (mainly miss), the place always has this dirty bar mat smell, and the service stinks. Not to mention the track record the owner has with other buildings he has in the city.

Haven't been there in years, don't plan on it in the future either.

You are putting lipstick on a pig. When are they going to fix the inside of the restaurant? It still smells and looks like a dirty college bar.

It's a lost cause...when I moved to EV (right around the corner from Bullfeathers) I assumed it would be my local pub -- a place to eat and drink on a regular basis after work, to watch a game, etc. From the very first time I ate there, I experienced substandard service which never improved over months and months of visits. While the menu is a cut above regular pub fare, the quality of the food is hit or miss -- more often a miss. When we requested to our server that we speak with the owner during our last disappointing visit, we watched as she spoke with the owner, gestured toward our table, and saw him slink away into the back. A few minutes later the manager visited our table to investigate and when we again asked to speak with the owner we were informed that he wasn't available. That was about 6 months ago and we haven't been back and don't plan on giving him any more of our money. If the owner doesn't have enough character to speak with his customers, there are many superior options in Buffalo to spend our time/money.

StephenJames- Hopefully the management will take note of the negative comments and remediate the problems. This is a great establishment with a great history and many ex-Buff State students have interesting memories of this place. Perception should be a concern for the owner and managers; they should welcome the honest and unencumbered feedback.

The owner of Bullfesthers is a slum lord. I rented an apartment from him when I was in school and they never fixed anything in the place including the broken windows during winter. No suprise his restaurant is a dive.

but conversely, it could be just another empty store front on elmwood. at least the business is thriving, and it's not a chain restaurant.

i worked at bullfeathers for about 3 minutes. the staff is cliquey and stuck up; the food and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired AND the owner is a terrible example of a multiple-property-owning landlord in this city. sorry to be negative, but it's all TRUE. bullfeathers is literally in my backyard and i refuse to spend my money there. we have so many better options.

forget about the restaurant .....what about those wood carvings....did i go to sleep and wake up in sicely, alaska?....these things must go! What I mean to say is there is a place for third rate wood things and the "elmwood village " is not it. Great idea bad execution... helping the trees is good but not at the expense of our credibility as an arts center. I remember reading an article in the buffalo news stating that Ms. Forton started this whole thing when she saw one in a backyard in the adirondacks, thats a good place for them to stay, in private spaces 300 odd miles from here. It is just wrong to have them on every block of elmwood. Buffalo has to much great architecture and great art (not to mention great artists) to be infiltrated by such crap . I could go on and on about how wrong these things are but I am starting to feel queasy....... some one must do something about this before its to late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
