Oh how I wish I was heading over there right now.

Anyway, Damp, the salmon is topped with creme fraiche and capers, the capers being a reasonable substitution which I was more than happy with. The salty, briney flavor of the capers lend themselves to the salmon in a way that is similar to caviar. Additionally, I'm not a big fan of caviar before noon so I was quite happy with the reasonable substitution.

Thanks so much for the article Christa. I would have never thought to try Nektar for brunch before. My husband and I are definitely going to go this Sunday. I wonder if we need reservations? Do they take them? After this article, I am sure that they will be full this Sunday!

What was on that smoked salmon? Sour cream and olives? How gauche! One always tops smoked salmon with creme fraiche and beluga caviar.

"Caviar before noon"...on toast wedges with a little hard-boiled egg. C'mon, Christa! Your defenses are weakening just thinking about it!
