Hi Gaustad,
Well, sadly for us that ski, it doesn't snow here all year round.
But, gladly for us who sail, it does have more sunshine and wind than any other locale in NY State.
We out-wind the Windy City of Chicago by twice its gales.
Let them talk about our snow, because when they do they also talk about our spirit as a community.

Ditto zimmerman! I These warmer abbreviated winters are making it tough to shell out the money for the season ski passes though.
NOAA just released the 2007-2008 Winter forecast, and it looks to be a mild one-- but they aren't saying if that means less snow:
"In the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic,temperatures are expected to be above average in response to the long-term warming trend. Snowfall for the region will depend on other climate factors, which are difficult to anticipate more than one-to-two weeks in advance. The drought-plagued Southeast is likely to remain drier-than-average due to La NiƱa, while temperatures are expected to be above average. In the Great Lakes and Tennessee Valley, temperatures and precipitation should be above average. "
