I think that it is great that someone like Mr Griffasi has been contributing to the cultural art scene in Buffalo for so long. His creative angles are refreshing to hear about. He has a good head on his shoulders concerning how to make events stronger and long lasting. The arts have maintained Buffalo during the hard times while all else failed. I love to hear about these people who have done so many things to make the culturals what they are today. He never gave up and continued to pursue his ideas. Neat to hear about the creation of the Allentown Art Festival and other festivals. The riots? The elimination of the performing arts? I never heard that one before. I wonder what he thinks about the new Charter Schools that have sprouted up?

Everything that he talks about seems to go against the grain of the current Allentown Village Society agenda. That's why Music is Art is out in Hamburg these days. The current association really blew it. I used to have respect for the Art Festival. Now the event looks small and petty in my eyes. Please ask him what his views are. I would be interested to hear about that controversy and what he thinks about it. He sounds like he has been through the bureaucratic ringer himself. The only way to get things done is to do it yourself. Don't let 'em stop you. Excellent lesson to learn.

He might be interested to know that Forever Elmwood is now the Elmwood Village Association. Never heard that he coined Forever Elmwood.

An Arts Hall of Fame? How cool! A Cultural Walk of Fame. Brilliant!!! It is sooooo Buffalo! I will be there June 24th. Can you make sure that BRO puts it in their online calendar? Thanks for all the work you do for Buffalo and the art community Mr. Griffasi. Good for DeSpirt to make the markers possible too.
