Its on Washington Street, Rode by yesterday on my bike, lots of activity going on...near the Central Library...Also road by the Northern Grain Elevator...that thing is massive, has some use, was chased away by an angry security guard, I most have given him something to do.

and what ever happened to the Benlin Warehouse in the Cobblestone...or the Riches Creme Building...and some of the other warehouses in the Cobblestone District and Larkin District.

oh...You want a warehouse that would make an incredible incredible conversion to offices or apartments: The ADM Building. Plus if one were to remove those interior steel storage bins in the Great Northern and replace the supports then we could preserve both buildings and have an interior space similar to the Connecticut Street Armory or the Masten Armory or the ugh Convention Center. THINK OF THE VIEWS THAT THE ADM BUILDING HAS....AND IT HAS DOCKS.

This building is somewhat between the library and the bus station, opposite side of the street.

Very good project, happy someone has worked to redevelop this. Great job.

Do your Buffalo internet searches...the most historic grain silo is the Great Northern...the steel storage silos are encased in a huge brick building...and attached to it is the Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) warehouse/office building. Its huge and tall and it would have incredible views in all directions...and it has docking facilities. I suggest you check it out.

Yea, the ADM/Great Northern...really has alot of potential...I wish BuffaloRising would do a story on it and solicit opinions for its re-use!

    To answer a few questions:

YES- the parking across the street is available to tenants, but tenants will not need it unless for their guests. There are 14 covered parking spots on the first floor and we also own 2 lots both adjacent to the building; ALL parking will be gated. Tenants will be given one spot; there will be a charge for a 2nd spot.

As I said, the lot across the street is open at night; guests will be able to park there. The Adam's Parking Ramp is also across the street from us on E. Eagle.

NBJohn: The building is located @ 210 Ellicott St., between Clinton & E. Eagle. visit the site: www.210ellicott.com

Jas...are we sure that lot would be available for tenants of the building? If so that would be awesome. I am sure that most of you would agree that down town needs more surface parking.

I love seeing this building restored. I am sad that a very nice corner building was torn down a few years ago on this block. That corner will now be parking. Oh well.

Parking is key with these projects. I'm happy off-street parking is included. I'm hoping this project is fairly taxed. I'm also hoping that the city notices that the Sidway Building at 777 Main Street sold for about $2,000,000 over the current property tax assessment, not including the parking lot.
