Went there when it had first opened. We were probably the first customers of the day. The barbecue is truly amazing. We had the place to ourselves the whole time, and just ate at the bar, where we chatted away with the bartender, who was a real nice guy. I ordered the chicken and ribs, and ate almost the whole thing. The mac and cheese is awesome, not your typical mac n cheese, but really good. Definitely eat there. Great food! 10 out of 10

I appreciate your comment, but want to mention that I think you have Buffalo Barbecue & Brew confused with the Buffalo Smokehouse. The first is located on Elmwood between Amherst and Hertel, where the second currently occupies the old Coliseum/Darcy's space near Chippewa. I have heard mixed reviews regarding Mark Croce's well-intended Smokehouse, but Buffalo Barbecue & Brew is good stuff.

    Great BBQ!!!

Make sure you try the Flying Bison Beer. Aviator Red goes very very well with BBQ!

Will have to try it. I love Fat Bob's but have been disappointed by other barbecue places (the one on Franklin was so disappointing) and summer is the time when barbecue's call is the strongest!

What A Joke. This place has lost it's image and appeal. Bring Back Darcy's Better yet Bring back the Coliseum. Buffalo needs Nightclubs and real Bars. Down town is filled with underage kids that start fights over everything.

We visited a day or two after the place opened, and we've gone nowhere else for BBQ even since! My husband, from the South and a self-proclaimed smoked and cured meats testing expert, insists its the best in the area . I agree...and find the Memphis pulled pork with a mac and cheese side, really hits the spot. Wasn't impressed with Fat Bob's. We were partial to Dinosaur in Syracuse (and the Plantations in Ithaca), and we're happy to have found something that compares. We were beginning to worry until Buffalo Barbeque and Brew opened!

Want to try the BEST Smoked BBQ food in Buffalo? Try The Lafayette Tap Room Bar-B-Que & Blues Saloon 391 Washington Street Downtown. They are with out a doubt the best BBQ in this area. Voted Best Pulled Pork last year at the Taste of Buffalo. They have BBQ Chicken Wings that are out of this world. They put the wings in their smoker first then BBQ them on the grill !! I predict these to win best BBQ wings at this years Buffalo Wingfest.
