The sabres need to get their butts in gear or they will be playing golf next week- hey, the weather is getting warm enough, eh? I think there is a problem with the NHL video review. We have seen it go both ways, when an obvious goal is called 'no goal' and visa-versa. With all the advancements in digital video you would think they rig up a CONCLUSIVE view from directly above the goal live to track a black puck going across a red line.

You can see my house from outer-space with satellite photography but they can't see the puck cross the goal line.

Max didn't get benched because he makes pretty plays - he got benched because he wasn't making ANY and couldn't hold onto the puck to save his ass. Remember Vanek last year? Same thing - he's a bum in the playoffs and he's been playing like he was almost two years ago, trying to do things that he can't even pull off and his teammates can't begin to even follow. Maybe it sent a message, but I think the Ruffinator just wanted to get a guy off the ice who was hurting the team with turnovers and missed opportunities. Yeah he turned his game around this year and started finishing the plays he tried to make, but then fell apart and went back to sucking since the regular season ended. Say what you want, but they didn't even deserve to win that game, or the last one... maybe not even game 2.
